QONECT BLOCKCHAIN LAB AG. (“we”) recognizes that the proper protection and management of personal information is critical and strictly complies with the Act on Protection of Personal Information and other applicable laws, statutes, regulations, as well as this privacy policy (“this policy”) and endeavors to protect customers’ personal information in a proper fashion.
1. We strictly comply with the Act on Protection of Personal Information and all applicable laws, statutes, regulations, and guidelines in properly handling personal information. As needed for further digitization of information, this policy and system may be changed and subject to ongoing revisions.
2. We indicate specific purposes for use of personal information we have obtained and notify users or publicize these purposes. Personal information is obtained solely for use within this scope and used accordingly.
3. Personal information is obtained by lawful and fair means.
4. In order to prevent leakage of personal information and prevent its use for purposes other than intended, we employ reasonable safety measures and management.
5. Excluding where required by law, we do not disclose personal information to third parties without consent of the individual to whom the information belongs.
6. Where outsourcing the handling of personal information we have obtained to third parties, we comply with applicable laws, statutes, regulations, and guidelines and enter into contracts with the outsourcee and monitor them accordingly.
7. Where an individual makes a request for the disclosure, revision, deletion, or suspension of use of personal information we retain on that individual, we shall respond in good faith.
“Personal information” is that information defined in the Act on Protection of Personal information that pertains to an existing individual and includes personally identifiable information like name and birthdate (including other such information that could easily be compared against other existing information to identify an individual)
“Individual” here refers to a person specifically identifiable by certain personal information and who has the proper rights for provision of said information.
We utilize customer personal information for the achievement of the following purposes.
1. For entering into and executing contracts, billing for fees, and other management of transactions
2. To provide products and services, support and follow-up for the same, and correspond in the event of an emergency

3. To respond to inquiries, send documents when requested by an individual, and send requisite forms
4. To confirm the identity of an individual with financial institutions and confirm the destination bank account
5. To improve on the products and services we carry, and to develop and market new ones
6. To launch surveys and analyze usage and trends, and create statistical documents
7. To send information about the products, services, and campaigns operated by our company and affiliates and partners
8. To notify of changes to the agreements and policies (hereafter, “policies”) relating to company products and services
9. To take measures against violations of laws, statutes, and policies pursuant to company products and/or services
10. To carry out procedures required by applicable laws and procedures arising from the same
11. To achieve other incidental objectives arising from the above
We may change the purpose of use of personal information within a reasonable scope.Where we change the purpose of use of personal information, we will notify customers directly or publicize this change.
We do not, without the consent of the individual in question, use personal information beyond the scope required for execution of the stated purpose of use. However, the above may not apply in the cases below.

2. Where required to protect the life, health, or property of a person and where consent from the owner of the personal information proves difficult to obtain;
3. Where required for the promotion of public health or the sound education of children and where consent from the owner of the personal information proves difficult to obtain;
4. Where requested to cooperate with a national organ, local municipal organ, or an agent thereof for the legal execution of duties and where obtaining advance consent from the owner of the personal information would hinder said execution.
We obtain personal information in an appropriate manner and do not use fraudulent or unauthorized means.Note that, where a customer or individual refuses to provide personal information, we may be unable to provide the service or guarantee that the service is carried out properly.
We employ all necessary and appropriate monitoring and surveillance of our personnel to ensure that personal information is not lost, damaged, altered, leaked, or otherwise subject to risk, and maintain a system for the safe management of personal information. Where outsourcing all or part of handling of personal information, we employ all necessary and appropriate monitoring and surveillance of the outsourcee to ensure that personal information is safely managed.
Excluding where disclosure is required under the Act on Protection of Personal Privacy or other applicable laws, statutes, and regulations, we do not provide personal information to third parties without the express prior consent of the individual to whom the information belongs. Note that in the cases below, the above restrictions on provision to third parties do not apply.
1. Where outsourcing all of part of the handling of personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the intended purposes of business
2. Where personal information is provided where, pursuant to a merger or other circumstances, there is a succession of the business
Where an individual requests, per the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, that we disclose personal information we retain on that individual, we will, having confirmed that the request is being made by the individual, disclose it without delay. Where disclosure would correspond to any of the cases below, all or part of the information may not be disclosed. Where we elect to not disclose information, the individual will be notified of said fact without delay. Information that does not correspond to personal information, such as access logs is, as a rule, not disclosed.
1. Where there is a threat to the interests of the individual or a third party, including but not limited to life, body, and/or property
2. Where it could significantly impede proper business operations
3. Where it would violate laws, statutes, and regulations
Where an individual requests that, per the Act on Protection of Personal Information, we revise, add to, delete, or otherwise change (hereafter, “revise”) the personal information we retain on the grounds that it is not accurate, we will, having confirmed that the request is from the individual in question, and excluding where special procedures are not otherwise stipulated by other laws or regulations, conduct the requisite investigation without delay and, based on the results of said investigation, conduct the requisite revisions and notify the individual of said fact. Where we decide not to carry out revisions, the person in question will be notified accordingly.
Where an individual requests that we suspend use of or delete (hereafter, “suspend”) personal information we retain on that individual on the grounds that it exceeds the intended scope of use or was obtained fraudulently or through unauthorized means, we will conduct the requisite investigation without delay and, where it is found that the request was valid, after having confirmed that the request is from the individual in question, suspend use of the personal information without delay and notify the individual of said fact. However, the above may not apply where, per the Act on Protection of Personal Information or other laws and statutes, we do not bear an obligation to suspend use.
